Is DelbarMe really free?
Yes. Creating a profile, browsing matches, and chatting with matches is free — and always will be. Optional premium features (boosts, advanced filters, seeing who liked you) may be offered in the future, but core dating will stay free.
Who can join?
Anyone 18 or older looking for a serious relationship or marriage. DelbarMe is built with the Afghan diaspora in mind — Dari, Pashto, and Farsi speakers living in Europe, the UK, Australia, and beyond — but everyone who values culture, respect, and family is welcome.
How do you verify profiles?
Every new member passes a selfie verification before their profile goes live. Photos that don't match a live selfie are rejected. Profiles that report suspicious behaviour are reviewed by our trust team within 24 hours.
What languages are supported?
The app is available in English, Norwegian, Dari (دری) and Pashto (پښتو), with Farsi and German coming next. You can match with people who speak your language — or the language of a city you're moving to.
Can I keep my photos private?
Yes. By default you can blur all your photos so only people you actively choose can see them. Reveal them one match at a time, or keep them blurred until you've spoken. Screenshot attempts are flagged and the other person is notified.
Can I delete my account?
Any time, from your profile settings. When you delete, your photos, messages, and profile are removed permanently within 30 days. We don't keep shadow copies, and we don't sell your data — ever.
When does the app launch?
We are rolling out gradually across cities. Sign up with your email below and we'll tell you the moment your city is live — London, Berlin, Sydney, Toronto first, then Oslo, Stockholm, Hamburg, Melbourne.
