Child Safety Standards
DelbarMe has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation, and any content that endangers a minor. This page explains our standards, the tools we use to enforce them, how you can report concerns, and how we work with authorities.
1. Who can use DelbarMe
DelbarMe is for people aged 18 or older. Every account confirms date of birth at sign-up. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18 we delete it immediately and preserve the minimum information required for legal reporting.
2. What is not allowed
Users may not post, share, or attempt to share:
- Any depiction of a person under 18 in a sexual, sexualised, or exploitative context, including CSAM, hentai depicting minors, or AI-generated content of minors.
- Grooming behaviour: attempting to build trust with, isolate, or arrange to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
- Content that promotes, glorifies, normalises, or trades child sexual abuse in any form.
- Requests for images or personal information from anyone claiming to be under 18, and impersonation of minors.
These rules are also part of the DelbarMe Terms of Service §5.
3. How we prevent this content from reaching the app
Every image that a user uploads (profile photo, community post photo, postcard photo, verification selfie, halqa cover) is scanned by Anthropic's Claude vision model before it becomes visible to anyone else. The scanner is instructed to reject:
- Nudity or sexually explicit content.
- Any depiction of a minor in a sexual context.
- Weapons and graphic violence.
Images the scanner rejects are deleted from storage without being surfaced to any other user. Images the scanner is uncertain about are queued for review by our trust-and-safety team.
Chat messages between matched users and comments on posts are end-to-end encrypted. We do not hold the keys and cannot scan that content. In-app reporting is the primary safety mechanism for encrypted content, and reports include the message so we can act on it after the recipient submits it.
4. How to report a concern
Every profile, post, postcard, comment, and chat message in DelbarMe has a Report action. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the item and choose "Report". You can specify the reason, including "Underage" and "Sexual content involving a minor".

You do not need a DelbarMe account to send a report by email. Include the username or a link to the content if possible so we can find it quickly.
5. How we handle reports
Reports are triaged by our trust-and-safety team within one business day. Where the content clearly violates these standards we:
- Remove the content from DelbarMe.
- Suspend or permanently ban the reporting user's account, based on severity.
- Preserve the content, associated metadata (upload time, IP, user ID), and any decryption keys we can lawfully retrieve, as evidence for authorities.
- Report to the relevant authorities (see §6).
Reporters receive an acknowledgement email. Where policy allows, we also notify the reporter of the outcome.
6. Reporting to authorities
Confirmed CSAM and content that endangers minors is reported to:
- NCMEC (United States National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) via the CyberTipline, as required by 18 U.S.C. §2258A.
- Kripos (the Norwegian National Criminal Investigation Service) for content connected to Norwegian users or hosted on infrastructure in Norway.
- Local law enforcement in the reporter's or perpetrator's jurisdiction, where a valid legal request is received or where local law requires it.
We retain CSAM reports and related evidence for as long as required by applicable child-safety law.
7. Compliance statement
DelbarMe complies with all relevant laws on child safety and cooperates with regional and national authorities. We commit to keeping these standards published and up to date, and to acting on every credible report we receive.
