How to record a first voice introduction

A voice introduction does not need to be polished. It needs to sound like you.

Choose one small detail

Say what you enjoy, what has made you smile recently or what kind of conversation you would like to have. One specific detail gives someone an easier way to reply than a long list of qualities.

Speak naturally

Find a quiet place and hold your phone comfortably. Speak in a language you feel at home in. You can think through your opening line without memorising a whole speech.

Leave room for a reply

End with an easy question: What are you reading? Where do you like to walk? What is a dish that reminds you of home? Keep identifying details private and listen with the same care you hope to receive.
